The University of Jaffna (UoJ) is a public university located in Jaffna, Sri Lanka. Established in 1974 as the sixth campus of the University of Sri Lanka, it became an independent university in 1979. The main campus is in Thirunelvely, with additional faculties in Kilinochchi and other locations. UoJ offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across thirteen faculties, including Medicine, Science, Arts, and Engineering. It is recognized for its contributions to education and research, particularly in the Northern Province of Sri Lanka.
