Thalassaemia Care Centre – Kadawatha is a specialized medical unit under the North Colombo Teaching Hospital, Ragama, dedicated to the treatment and management of thalassaemia. Located in Mahara, Kadawatha, the center provides regular blood transfusions, iron chelation therapy, and genetic counseling for patients and families. It also plays a key role in awareness and screening programs across Sri Lanka, aiming to reduce the prevalence of this inherited blood disorder.
