Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA)

Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA) is Sri Lanka’s third international airport, located in Hambantota, about 18 km from the city center. Opened in March 2013, it was designed as a major aviation hub for international travel and cargo operations. The airport offers passenger flights, cargo handling, aircraft parking, and aviation training services, aiming to expand its strategic role in the region.
