Udawatta Kele Sanctuary, also known as the Royal Forest Park of Kandy, is a historic forest reserve located on a hill ridge behind the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Spanning 104 hectares, it is renowned for its rich biodiversity, including unique flora, fauna, and bird species. Once a royal garden during the Kandyan Kingdom, it is now a sanctuary offering serene walking trails, meditation hermitages, and a glimpse into Sri Lanka’s natural and cultural heritage.
