Thurstan College, established in 1950, is a prominent national school for boys located in Colombo 7, Sri Lanka. Situated in the Cinnamon Gardens area, it offers primary and secondary education and is known for its motto, “Lead me from Darkness to Light.” The school emphasizes academic excellence, sports, and extracurricular activities, with facilities like science and computer labs, a library, and over 30 clubs and societies. Methodist College, located on Galle Road in Colombo 3, is one of the oldest and most prestigious girls’ schools in Sri Lanka. Established in 1866 by British missionary Catherine Scott, the school is managed by the Methodist Church and offers education in Sinhala, Tamil, and English mediums. Known for its rich history, academic excellence, and vibrant extracurricular activities, Methodist College fosters a strong sense of community and tradition.
